Support for School Staff
Inspire offers a range of support services to school staff to help them plan for and manage
their work-related learning and education-business link activities.
We organise and broker professional development placements
in workplace settings that are
designed to help teachers and related professional staff to gain a greater understanding of
the business world, to inform and enhance their delivery of the curriculum and to improve school
management systems. Most are one-day placements.
We deliver training and INSET sessions for staff, particularly related to the statutory
work-related learning and enterprise education requirements at Key Stage 4, but can also deliver
tailor-made sessions to meet particular school needs, at both primary and secondary level.
Inspire facilitates several good practice sharing networks for school teachers and managers,
including the
Work Experience Network for Work Experience Co-ordinators, the Work-related Learning Forum for secondary WRL Managers and Co-ordinators and the Primary Mentoring Forum
for school co-ordinators of these schemes, such as the Reading and Number Partners programmes.
Our business partners are a valuable source of help and advice for school staff and can often
provide senior-level staff for our Headteacher / Senior Staff
Mentoring programme and skilled employees to meet requests for specialist in-kind assistance and advice.
